RoToTo’s socks are produced in specailist factories in Nara Prefecture and Goryocho which both have more than 100 years history in sock manufacturing. They use many different types of sock knitting machines depending on the sock they’ve designed, from old-fashioned machines that are impossible to computerize to state-of-the-art technologies.
A three pack named after the three strikes in baseball. One pair is an elastic style with 1×1 rib, another is 7×11 rib which creates a rough texture, and then a simple elegant plain knit sock. Minor adjustments are made to the set up of one machine to create the three styles. Organic cotton is knitted into an almost solid weave, more tightly packed than ordinary socks making them extra sturdy.
